Walking Out of Grief

           Eight years ago, the sudden death of my younger son broke my heart. I developed insomnia and began to rely on sleeping pills. Although I upped my dosage of pills, I was unable to sleep for more than five hours a night. Long-term insomnia caused me to suffer from tinnitus. I was plagued by buzzing sounds. Listless and lethargic, I went through life in a daze.

 

Recovery Along the Way

 

         In April 2017 I visited Taichung Bodhi Meditation Center and participated in the Energy Bagua foundation class. The first time I practiced the walking meditation, it was for an hour. Upon reaching home, I fell asleep right away. When I woke up I realized I had forgotten to take sleeping pills. I was exhilarated that I’d slept for eight hours. Sleeping well became my nightly routine. After completing seven days of the Energy Bagua course,I no longer needed to take sleeping pills.        Before practicing Energy Bagua, I hardly sweated. However, after attending the course, I began perspiring naturally and experienced the good feelings that accompany a healthy body. I felt detoxified.

           I had suffered from constipation for three years. Laxatives didn’t treat the root of the problem. Due to constipation, my appetite was poor. I usually felt uncomfortable and moody. Surprisingly, after one month of my Energy Bagua workout, my system became smoother and I stopped taking laxatives. My appetite improved, along with my mood.

        Over time I gained greater benefits from continuing to do Energy Bagua. After four months of my Energy Bagua regimen, I no longer heard buzzing sounds in my ears. Now I feel refreshed and full of energy.

        Energy Bagua has brought me back to good health and helped me walk out of the pain of my son’s death. At 70 years old, I finally understand that health and happiness are essential to life. Accepting the trials of life, feeling contented, and being grateful for all we have are fundamental to quality living.

         Recently I set a goal for myself: to practice Energy Bagua continually for 108 days. My transformation has prompted me to encourage my children to practice it as well.
