Facial Paralysis Resolved

Hello, everyone, my name is Fan Lijuan. I’m from the Ansan Bodhi Meditation Center. Three years ago, due to immense stress, I experienced facial paralysis and lost sensation in my face. I tried injections, took medication, and visited a Korean hospital for acupuncture. Although I managed to recover somewhat, I still suffered from residual symptoms. For instance, the right side of my nose would not produce mucus, my right eye would not shed tears, and my right-eye blink was not as agile as the left. I was plagued by these symptoms of facial paralysis for three whole years.

During this eight-day Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat, I put my all into my practices. At the same time, I prayed in my heart for blessings of protection, health, and happiness from Grandmaster JinBodhi and the buddhas and bodhisattvas. On the morning of the seventh day, I suddenly felt some moisture in my right eye, as if it were about to tear up. I thought to myself: Could this be a manifestation of the blessings from Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings over these past few days? To my surprise, by the afternoon, I could finally shed tears and my nose was finally producing mucus. I cried my heart out. The right-sided facial paralysis which had been the source of such distress was finally a problem of the past. I am truly grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi.
