Health & Happiness Retreat

Three years ago, extreme stress triggered facial paralysis. My right eye could not shed tears or blink with ease, and my right nostril could not produce mucus. However, during this Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat, on the morning of the seventh day of practice, I suddenly felt moisture in my right eye. By the afternoon, both my right eye and right nostril were clear, with tears and mucus flowing freely. I shed tears of joy. I am truly grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi.

Due to my issue with frequent nighttime urination (nocturia), which caused me to wake up at least three times a night, along with having to wake up at 2 or 3 a.m. to set up my shop, my sleep quality was consistently poor. However, after attending the Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat, I now sleep soundly every night and feel full of energy each day. I am truly grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi.

I am a musician. An anonymous complaint letter that leveled false accusations against me had destroyed my mental state, leaving me with panic disorder, depression, and social anxiety disorder. As such, I had to take 14 to 16 pills a day just to keep living. On the third day of the Health & Happiness Retreat, I smelled a burnt odor and the sweet scent of flowers while practicing The Meditation of Greater Illumination. After returning to the dormitory, I felt extremely dizzy and fell asleep; I woke up feeling an unprecedented sense of relaxation. My uneasiness was gone. Thanks to this retreat, I overcame panic disorder, depression, and social anxiety disorder.

I have a herniated lumbar disc, making it hard for me to sit for long periods of time. If I sit for more than thirty minutes, my back hurts. I've tried traditional Chinese acupuncture, but it only temporarily relieves the pain. Unexpectedly, on the first day of meditation practice at the Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat, I felt no pain in my back at all, even when sitting for more than thirty minutes. And there's been no pain up to now; it's truly miraculous! I'm extremely grateful to Grandmaster!

For over ten years, I've had the issue of cold feet. I need to use thick blankets to keep warm even during the summer. I also needed to take care of keeping warm in my day-to-day life. However, after practicing “The Meditation of Greater Illumination,” my whole body feels comfortably warm, and the sensation of cold feet has disappeared. My body feels much more relaxed; I am truly grateful to Grandmaster!

I had been suffering from a wrist ganglion cyst for over 20 years, and the doctors had always told me that surgical removal would be difficult and high-risk. However, during the 8-day Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat, Grandmaster JinBodhi personally blessed me. Within a day, the cyst on my wrist miraculously disappeared. I am Ji Hongqin. I suffered from dry eye syndrome for over a year. Every day, I had to rely on eye drops for relief. Adding to my troubles, I also suffered from a compressed cervical spine, which left me feeling dizzy and like my neck was weighed down every time I woke in the morning. Seeking a remedy, I decided to join the Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat. There, I immersed myself in the practice of “The Meditation of Greater Illumination.” The initial days were marked by constant yawning and tearful eyes, but astonishingly, by the fifth day of meditation practice, my eyes stopped watering, and I discovered I no longer needed eye drops, my eyes were no longer dry. Furthermore, from the sixth day onwards, my mind felt bright and clear; I felt energized and invigorated.

Six years ago, my lower back was seriously injured. If I sit for a bit too long, I will have back pain. I couldn’t even sit for thirty minutes without crying out in pain when I tried to get it. I would even need to support my back to stand up like the elderly. However, during the Bodhi Meditation Health and Happiness Retreat, when Grandmaster JinBodhi performed an energy blessing for the class, I felt an electric current rising in my lower back, filling it with a sense of energy. Up until now, even after the retreat has finished, my back has remained pain-free, along with a cool and soothing sensation.

I experienced spontaneous fasting for the first time during this Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat. Throughout the fasting period, I did not eat anything at night. To help with my sleep, I practiced “The Meditation of Bone Melting.” I started my practice at 2:40 a.m., and when I opened my eyes, it was already past 5 in the morning. I had no food and only water the next day, but I was still brimming with energy. I felt healthier and happier, more so than usual.

Xie Li was tormented by abdominal adhesions for over twenty years, causing severe pain and distensions. However, in just a short period of eight and a half days, she not only gained relief from these health issues, but also lost 18 pounds (8 kilograms) of weight. Moreover, after 6 months of meditation practice, her previously elevated liver function index returned to normal, and her hypothyroidism also improved significantly.
