During the past two years, the ongoing pandemic has left people fearful and uncertain. Many are faced with the challenges of unemployment, loss of education, loss of income, and even loss of life. Since the pandemic began, Grandmaster JinBodhi has paid close attention to the development of the pandemic around the world. With live broadcasts twice a week and hundreds of live broadcast events to date, Grandmaster JinBodhi hopes to help the public eliminate anxiety, relieve troubles, and bring physical and mental health and hope to everyone during this extremely difficult time.

In addition to offering teachings to the public, Grandmaster JinBodhi also hopes to contribute to the local communities where Bodhi Meditation centers are located, especially to the medical workers fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic. In the live broadcast on June 16th, 2021, Grandmaster painted “Auspiciousness of Five Blessings”. Grandmaster’s hope is that all funds raised from the sales of this painting can be used to support local medical institutions in Greater Vancouver and provide support and assistance to the local community in the prevention and fight against the pandemic.

More than a month after the painting was released, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Grandmaster JinBodhi’s dharma teaching journey, Grandmaster donated all the funds raised from the sales of the painting, as well as his own personal donation, totalling 400,000 CAD, to the Richmond Hospital Foundation in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

On July 27th, 2021, a donation ceremony was held at the Richmond Hospital, attended by Grandmaster JinBodhi, Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Richmond Hospital Foundation Vice President Candace Hernandez, and Co-Senior Medical Director of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Dr. Alexandros Alexiadis. During the ceremony, Mayor Brodie expressed his gratitude and stressed that the need for donations for the healthcare system is extensive during this pandemic. Grandmaster JinBodhi’s contribution is of great importance to the City of Richmond, and it will help the local medical system long term, ensuring better medical care and protection for the entire community.

Vice President Candace Hernandez thanked Bodhi Meditation for its continuous support of Richmond Hospital. In 2020, when the pandemic first broke out, Bodhi Meditation immediately donated 100,000 masks, personal protective equipment, and other medical supplies to the City of Richmond, thereby helping the Richmond Hospital through one of the most difficult times of the pandemic. She also mentioned that the meditation music and methods taught by Grandmaster JinBodhi helped medical staff workers relax and better cope with the intense pressure and challenges of the pandemic more positively and energetically.

In response to the gratitude, Grandmaster JinBodhi said, “As a resident of Richmond, it is my honor to be able to contribute to the community and do my part. In the face of such a devastating pandemic, it is a brave and remarkable act of all medical workers to serve the public on the frontline regardless of their own safety. We are deeply moved and greatly admire them. Thank you to all medical workers for their hard work and dedication. This donation is a token of our appreciation, support and respect for all medical workers.”

How do we show our love? Love is caring, love is helping, love is dedication, love is giving. May everyone and all public institutions who need help during the pandemic receive the support and assistance they need to make it through. We hope that the pandemic will end soon, so everyone can live a healthy, safe and prosperous life! Join us, and together we can bring more love and happiness to the world!
