In August 2021, to support and pay respect to frontline medical staff working on epidemic prevention, Grandmaster JinBodhi painted “Auspiciousness of Five Blessings” to raise funds for their efforts. All the donations raised by the painting, plus the personal donation of Grandmaster, resulted in a total of CAD$400,000 being donated to the Richmond Hospital Foundation in British Columbia, Canada (for details, please refer to: Sending Warmth During the 2021 Pandemic – Contribution to Fight the Pandemic).

On June 28, 2022, Spencer Gall, the fundraising project director of the Richmond Hospital Foundation, came to the Vancouver Bodhi Meditation Center. With deep gratitude, he presented two special honorary awards to Grandmaster and the Bodhi Organization:

PhD of Inspiration

Doctor of Philanthropy

With these donations, the Acute Psychiatry Department at Richmond Hospital has been renovated and will reopen this November, providing a serene recovery and treatment environment for the patients.
The hospital foundation will also use these donations to construct a new medical building with complete equipment, more patient beds, and operating rooms, so that Richmond Hospital can serve and benefit more patients in the future.
Grandmaster JinBodhi was very happy and gratified to learn that the donations were benefiting sentient beings. With sincerity and compassion, let’s continue to work together to help humanity live in health and beauty.
