I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the beginning of 2016. Almost all my joints were in extreme pain. I could not squat or bend my body. Whenever I turned, my spine felt tight and sore. Thus, my quality of sleep was compromised. My ankles would get swollen in the afternoon to the point where the bones could not be felt. By night, my finger joints would be numb and stiff. I had great difficulty just opening and closing doors.
Improved Health Every Day
Just as I was getting downright panicked about my health, I was introduced to JB Fine Dharma Bodhi Meditation Center. In November 2016, I participated in the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat. My health gradually improved every day of the retreat.
On the first day after class, I helped to clean the hall. I was very surprised that I could kneel. On the second day, my husband was pleasantly surprised that my ankles did not swell. My confidence in meditation rose.
On the third day before practicing The Meditation of Purity, I sincerely prayed for Grandmaster JinBodhi’s blessing to give me the ability to sit in lotus position. To my surprise, I sat through the half hour of meditation.
The following day, after I had finished The Meditation of Greater Illumination, I found the soles of my feet were wet to the extent of making my socks wet. From that day on, I felt increasingly relaxed.
When the retreat ended, I felt my joints move with ease and without pain. I could easily squat, bend my body forward, and open and close doors.
It was a miracle that most of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis which are associated with internal dampness were eradicated after one retreat. Between 2017 and 2019, I participated in the Second Level Bodhi Meditation Retreat and several Advanced Bodhi Meditation Retreats. I have been steadily getting healthier. Finally, I was able to sleep well once again.
I do my meditation practices diligently every day. I also spend time at the center. I want to thank Bodhi Meditation, and my way of expressing my utmost gratitude is to volunteer my time to serve others.
The intent of the testimonial is to offer wellness information of a general nature. Individual results of practice may vary.
