Those suffering from bodily weakness should begin with five minutes of practice followed by a rest period and then resume prostrating for another five minutes, if possible. On the other hand, those in good physical condition are advised to begin with ten minutes of practice, increasing the duration as stamina improves. Prostration can be done in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Don’t practice when exhausted or right after a meal.

Steps To Practice Prostration:
- Stand naturally and be at ease, feet about 2 inches apart. Eyes may remain open or close lightly.
- Bring hands together in a prayer position, fingertips touching. Keep space between the palms.
- Stretch both arms to the sides in a smooth, flowing motion and gradually bring hands together in a prayer position overhead. The head remains still.
- Slowly move hands down, index fingers gently touching the forehead, chin, and chest.
- Keeping hands at chest level in prayer position, kneel down. Keep a slow pace.
- Place hands on the floor, palms down, shoulder width apart. Slide your hands forward until your entire body touches the floor, lying flat.
- Turn palms upward. Gently knock your forehead on the floor three times. Keep your body and elbows on the floor.
- Still facedown, raise both hands above and behind your head, bringing fingertips together. Once again, extend arms in front, palms on the floor.
- Push up to a standing position.
- Bring hands together in prayer position at chest level.
- Repeat steps 1 to 11 according to your physical condition.
- After practicing, rub your hands together, massage your face, and move your body.
